Finally Friday

This has been a difficult week and we apologize for not visiting our friends this week.  Nanny is very upset because her neighbor of 15 years has committed suicide.  He was a very nice and kind man. He was an animal lovers.  We found out that he brought his dog Brady to the shelter because he couldn’t afford to keep him. He has been out of a job for years, and he told Nanny a month ago, that he was told that he was over qualified for some jobs he had applied for.

Ron was 44 years old. The neighborhood is heart broken.  What should we have done to help him? That is the question. Every day we are so busy with our daily lives that we don’t see someone in need.

Ron’s house is across our house.

R.I.P. Ron

we didn’t loose a person, we gained an ANGEL.

Oh Loki and Nanny. We are so very sorry. This is so very sad.

That is terribly sad. I don’t think you could have done anything to stop it, life is full of things happening without a reason.

We all know your Nanny has a HUGE heart.

I’m so sorry…As someone who has battled depression and suicidal thoughts, I can say that unless he was able to reach out, it’s likely no one ever would have guessed how badly off he was, mentally, just how ill. I continued to work through my bouts of depression, fortunately, which likely saved me — that and I had angels Chumley and Annie to care for. But a person can mask depression and no one would know.

It’s a terrible tragedy, because he slipped through the cracks. There’s a huge stigma about mental illness, in whatever form, and men in particular would not be inclined to seek help.

I’m sending everyone Light for Peace and healing during this time.

Oh my gosh, Loki and Nanny, how sad! Such a tragedy for your neighborhood. Mom has been battling depression also for years and says we are what keeps her focused. We pray Brady finds a great home. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. (((HUGS)))

Hi Loki, we found you from Fuzzy Tails. Our hearts go out to you. I’m Mumsy to the Kwee Cats, I deal with mental illness myself. There is a big stigma that is very discouraging. The individual may be surrounded by people that would have helped, but they may not be in place where they can receive it. So very sad. Maybe by everyone realizing now what they wish they could have done, the next time will end better. We will be sending you positive energy, and wishes for peace.

To be so troubled, that is sad and so difficult for family and friends left to mourn…
