Sunday – Loki guarding his food

Nanny did not understand why my plates were always empty and then she caught the doggies eating my food.  Now she is putting my food on the table.  Nanny has made her own dog food for years because her doggies didn’t like the commercial one but they seem to like my cat food. Very hard to comprehend! Nanny apologize for not visiting her friends, she was sick last week.

Nanny’s Dark Side

cat_137

Halloween is Nanny’s favorite holiday.  For the past seventeen years, she has dressed up as a witch and decorated the garage with scary trimmings.  Over the years, Nanny has bought many things like a fog machine and a gadget that dims the light whenever there’s a loud sound.

Just imagine a dark garage with fog, thunder, and the scary sounds of cats hissing, all accompanied by a spooky witch holding a scary fake black cat.  Every year, some kids have begged their parents to skip Nanny’s house because it’s too scary;  she’s not scaring the teenagers at all—they think it’s funny. Nanny is especially happy this year, because she gets to hold me, a REAL black cat, instead of the fake black cat that she stores in her attic.

This photo was taken in March or April 2007.  I was living with Daddycat and his college roomates.  The apartment was filled with magic cards and I was holding one of them.  I was young, skinny, and lazy then.

Frightful Fashion Friday

I had no idea that Karen Jo wrote this lovely limerick about me.  I’m flattered. Thank you all for the sweet comments. I love you too!!!! Do I look scary? Do you think I would scare Reese away?

Thanks for the Great Limerick, Karen Jo!

Loki’s in love with a cat named Reese.
Just seeing her makes him squeeze
His eyes in delight.
He dreams all night
Of the fun he could have with his darling Reese.
